Text Assignment Overview

Due Dates

The required assignments must be completed by the end of that module which technically is Sunday; however, I strongly support you completing them sooner and saving Sunday as your day of worship and rest. Other than our introduction week, the modules are all 2 weeks long and you may work on the material any time during that period. There are no due dates for the gaming choice assignments except that everything must be finished by the end of Module 7 so I have time to record points. As you gain enough points through a combination of required and choice assignments to move to a different "level", you will receive a badge on your collaboration page with me (those can be reached from the home page).

Module 1 - Create a Timeline or Review Game using H5P Tools
Module 1 - Create Cliff Notes PPT for Kids [To unlock, you must first read an optional Deaf culture book.]
Module 2 - Observe a service dog training session or complete the Austin dog walk (3/23/19).
Module 2 - Interview an Audiologist or Cochlear Implant Provider [To unlock, first test your hearing on a phone app.]
Module 3 - Experience Sign Writing and create a sample.
Module 3 - Build a Mobile App.
Module 4 - Make a video to persuade others to use a Bi-Bi approach.
Module 5 - Interview a Deaf teacher or administrator (2 max)
Module 5 - Prepare a Conference Proposal submission
Module 6 - Write a Bill of Rights for Deaf kids and their parents
Module 7 - Attend the concert at Baylor by a Deaf jazz singer (3/25/19)

50 Point Options - Estimate 5 - 8 Hours of Work

Module 1 - Read & Reflect on a book about Deaf culture from an approved list
Module 3 - Build a Virtual Reality scenario
Module 4 - Create an assessment piece to go with the e-book you made.
Module 6 - Create a second lesson for a different subject.
