Setting Up SMS & Email Notifications

If there are events you want to be notified of right away, you may consider setting up SMS alerts. Like other notifications, you can edit this under User Settings.

• Go to User Settings.

• On the right, you will see Ways to Contact. Under Other Contacts, select Add Contact Method.

• Input your cell phone number and carrier, then select Register SMS.                                                                                                                                                                                     

 

Additionally, you can set up email notifications to go to the email account of your choice. By default, all Canvas emails will go your baylor.edu email address you received when you became a faculty/staff member. However, if this is not the most practical choice for you, you can edit that option.  Go as you would to add a mobile number, and select the Email tab.
