TECHNOLOGY Duo Two-Factor Authentication

Baylor is committed to the safety and protection of your personal and financial information. The University requires Duo two-factor authentication along with your Bear ID and password to access most online platforms.

Two-factor authentication provides a strong layer of security to your online information because it requires an active response from you using a mobile device to allow access to Baylor's digital platforms. After you use your Bear ID and password to log in to most Baylor systems, we encourage you to set up your mobile device so that you select "Duo Push" and then "Approve" the login request through a notification on your mobile device.

To set up your mobile device for Duo Mobile Push, follow the instructions in the "How to Set Up Duo" section below.

How to Set Up Duo

Follow these steps to set up your mobile device (tablet or phone):

Visit the Apple App Store or Google Play Store and install the FREE Duo Mobile app.
Launch the Duo Mobile app on your device.
On a separate device, visit baylor.edu/its/weduo and click the "We Duo Enroll Now" image.
Select the "Add a New Device" link beneath the Baylor logo and follow the prompts.
Scan the QR code that appears using the camera on your mobile device.
Make this device your Default Device and set "When I log in" to "Ask me to choose an authentication method."
The next time you Duo, select "Duo Push" from the options.

Orientation Essential

Set up a second device in Duo that can be used for two-factor authentication just in case something happens to your primary mobile device. This second device can be a tablet or another phone.
