Chapel and Religion Courses
Baylor’s primary distinction is our Christian commitment within a loving and caring community, which shapes the impact we hope your undergraduate experience has on you and the impact we hope you will have on the world. Opportunities to grow in faith and knowledge of Christian history and practice are important parts of every student’s degree plan.
Baylor students participate in University Chapel to learn, worship, engage with important topics, and encourage one another. All students participate in two semesters of Chapel, and most do so in their first two semesters.
You also will take two religion courses — Christian Scriptures and Christian Heritage. These courses provide foundational understanding of Christian beliefs and engagement in the world throughout history, as well as increased knowledge of the Bible.
